One time I got a call for a trade show. I spun up a website for myself really quickly, because I’m good at that, and in a few days I was booked for $6,300. That’s why I make websites for my friends. I know it can change their lives, and it’s totally worth it if the website is made well.
So here are five simple reasons most people don’t have a good website up online right now, updated and hyping them up.
1. Gathering materials
It can take a long time figuring out what kind of stuff to put on the website, getting the photos together right, and everything like that.
2. Understanding your prosona
Your prosona is your personal brand: knowing who your customer is, how to talk to them, and who you are as a public personality.
3. The tech
Figuring out all the tools and making sure we’re using the latest stuff that works really well for everybody.
4. Tweaks
Spending time adjusting things as they come up. It seems like it’s easy to change a word, but it actually takes a lot of thought and a lot of consideration.
5. Polish
Getting professional looking images is important. We’re in show business. We have to look like we care about the aesthetics, and we have to look like we have enough success to get those aesthetics done right.
